Local Artists

Discover original artwork and gifts created by Lake District artists at The Fringe And The Fold. Our Local Artists collection brings together distinctive pieces made by talented artists from Cumbria and the surrounding area.

Each piece is chosen for its character, craftsmanship and connection to the landscape, animals and rural life that inspire us. From original hand-painted artwork to small pieces designed to bring a little Highland character into your home, these are items with a genuine local story behind them.

Original art from Lake District artists

We work directly with local artists to offer pieces that feel personal and individual. Many are handmade or hand-painted, so natural variations in colour, brushwork and detail are part of what makes each one unique.
