Holly and Snow is a ceramic Highland cow Christmas tree ornament featuring Bumble in a snowy pasture, with red berries and frosted holly framing the scene.
Bumble stands facing the viewer, with a dark shaggy coat and a light dusting of snow along the horns. A pale muzzle stands out beneath the long fringe. Behind, a dry-stone wall runs across the field, with bare trees and low hills beyond.
The holly gives the design its strongest festive colour. Clusters of red berries appear near the lower edges, set against dark leaves and white snow. Meanwhile, grass still shows through the thin covering on the ground, adding texture around Bumble’s feet.
A broad spread of horns gives Bumble a clear silhouette against the winter sky. Combined with the long coat, it is a shape that lovers of Highland cattle will recognise immediately. The individual face and stance, however, keep this portrait rooted in our own fold.
We created the design from an original photograph of Bumble at The Fringe And The Fold, then adapted it into a seasonal winter scene. The finished artwork brings together that real cattle portrait and a snowy setting. It is not presented as an unaltered photograph of a particular winter day.
The ornament is printed to order on white ceramic and has a natural gloss finish. It measures approximately 7.5 cm across, with the design printed on one side and a blank white reverse. An adjustable gold hanging string makes it ready to hang among the branches.
Holly and Snow is a fitting choice for someone who enjoys traditional Christmas foliage and rural scenes. The darker coat and bright berries give it a distinct place alongside the other ornaments, while Bumble remains the main subject.
