Winter Blush is a ceramic Highland cow Christmas tree decoration featuring Clancy in a snowy landscape beneath a soft pink and blue winter sky.
A faint glow sits low on the left, lifting the cool colours of the clouds. Below it, bare trees, a hedgerow and distant hills form a quiet backdrop. Clancy stands at the front of the scene, with a pale muzzle and long, shaggy fringe clearly visible.
Clancy’s tawny coat gives the portrait warmth without overpowering the wintry setting. Snow catches on the hair and surrounding plants, while the horns curve upwards against the sky. The flowing coat and horn shape are part of the familiar appearance of Highland cattle; here, they frame an individual animal from our own fold.
The artwork began as an original photograph of Clancy at The Fringe And The Fold. We adapted that photograph into this seasonal scene, keeping Clancy at the heart of the composition. The finished winter artwork is therefore a creative adaptation of our photography.
The name comes from the pale blush of colour along the horizon. Rather than filling the scene with bright sunset tones, that small patch of pink sits among lavender clouds and snow-covered ground. As a result, the portrait has a gentle winter atmosphere with plenty of detail to enjoy up close.
We print Winter Blush to order on white ceramic with a natural gloss finish. The ornament measures approximately 7.5 cm across, with a single-sided print and blank white reverse. An adjustable gold hanging string completes the decoration.
It makes a considered festive gift for someone who enjoys Highland cattle, soft winter colours or countryside scenes. Equally, it can mark a connection with Clancy for anyone who follows The Fringe And The Fold.
